Vogalonga
This is the name of the famous and annual boat regatta that was born in 1974, on St. Martin’s Day among the Venetian canals thanks to a group of friends who organized the first small regatta on rowing boats.
From there, came the idea of combining the joy of rowers and the strength of the latter to formalize the first adventure, which dates back to the day of recruitment, May 8, 1975;
Defined as “non-competitive” and green, it is a huge success each year among participants from all over the world.
To this day, finish times are not important, what really matters is to remember why the Vogalonga was born, an act of love for Venice and its islands.
