Christmas in Venice is the most wonderful time of the year and everybody looks forward to celebrating it.
Even if our boutique hotel is closed, we do not leave you behind and here below we indicate you what happens in Venice during Christmas in our beloved lagoon.
Spending your Christmas holidays here is a unique experience. Both adults and children fall in love with our festive vibes.
CHRISTMAS MARKETS
One of the best things to do is visiting the Christmas markets that you can find all over Venice. The best ones are the markets in Campo Santo Stefano, Campo dei Santi Apostoli, Ca’ Zenobio palace and Campo San Bortolo. Here you can buy souvenirs and typical products, such as the famous panettone, our traditional dessert, we usually eat during Christmas time.
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
Thousands of lights and decorations create a cosy atmosphere in the calli and squares. A must-see is St. Mark’s Square with its evocative light show.
CONCERTS
If you love music, this is your time. You can attend stunning concerts which are held in churches and/or Venetian palaces. There are many shows over the Christmas period, but the best one to go to is the New Year’s Eve concert at La Fenice Theatre. There are four possible dates to choose which are the following ones: 29th December 2023, 30th December 2023, 31st December 2023 and 1st January 2024.
