The Museum of the Venetian eighteenth century is located in the monumental Palazzo Rezzonico, designed by Longhena and Massari, and is conceived as an environmental museum. Among precious furniture and furnishings of the time, it houses important paintings and frescoes of the Venetian eighteenth century, from Tiepolo to Rosalba Carriera, from Longhi to Guardi to Canaletto. Significant donations have recently enriched the museum with another three hundred works by artists including Cima da Conegliano, Alvise Vivarini, Bonifacio de’ Pitati, Tintoretto, Sebastiano and Marco Ricci and even the Tiepolo, Longhi, Rosalba Carriera and Francesco Guardi, allowing for an articulated tour along four floors, as well as relaxing moments of rest in the vast reception area, in the design-café or in the pleasant garden.
